iOS 13: Dark Mode, Faster Performance, New Applications

Apple just announced iOS 13 which brings the long awaited Dark Mode, faster performance, updated Reminders, Maps and Notes Apps.

App downloads are 50% faster and about 60% smaller in size. Applications will launch twice as fast as those on iOS 12.

A new swipe to type gesture is coming to Apple Keyboard which is called “QuickPath”.

FaceID is becoming 30% faster on iOS 13.

Photos application is undergoing a nice update as well with better photos management functionality.

HomeKit is also updated with support on cameras.

The developer preview of iOS 13 is available to Apple Developer Program members at developer.apple.com starting today, and a public beta program will be available to iOS users later this month at beta.apple.com. New software features will be available this fall as a free software update for iPhone 6s and later, and will be available with iPadOS for iPad Air 2 and later, all iPad Pro models, iPad 5th generation and later, and iPad mini 4 and later. iPadOS also introduces new capabilities and intuitive features that take advantage of the unique characteristics of iPad.
