Apple Released iOS 15 For All Users

It is no secret that Apple fans from all over the world are eagerly anticipating to download and install each new iOS version as soon as Apple servers start seeding the new software update for their iPhones. Apple, traditionally, introduces new features alongside each new major version of iOS, which freshens up both newer and older devices that are compatible with the latest software version.

The wait is finally over as Apple released iOS 15 together with iPadOS 15 and watchOS 8.

Compatibility

All iPhones that were compatible with the iOS 14 are also compatible with iOS 15. Hence, if you own an iPhone 6s or later device you can enjoy most if not all of the new iOS 15 features and design tweaks.

Best New Features, Redesigns and Tweaks

iOS 15 is not as revolutionary as iOS 14 was compared to the iOS 13, however it brings several design tweaks, new features and optimisations that will make our iPhones perform better and feel fresh again. We have visualised some of these features in the below image gallery:

  • New Messages App with improved sharing options & new Memoji Stickers

  • Safari Redesign with new address bar that can be set at the bottom for improved reachability.

  • New Safari 3rd Party Extensions

  • Revised Widgets

  • Find My working while your device is switched off

  • Maps App Redesign

  • Weather App Redesign

  • New FaceTime with SharePlay (SharePlay coming in a later iOS 15 update)

  • Portrait Video on FaceTime and Other Social Media Apps

  • Notifications redesign and Notifications Summary

  • Separation Alerts on Find My items and compatible devices (AirPods Separation Alerts coming in a later iOS 15 update). A notification pop ups when you separate from your AirPods, AirTag or other compatible devices.

  • Live Text: Recognise, copy & Translate text from your Photos or your camera viewfinder

  • Focus feature: helps you focus on what’s important for you at certain points in your day and minimise distractions

  • New health features

  • iCloud+ with hide my email and iCloud relay (currently on beta - full feature coming in a future software update)

  • Ability to backup on iCloud with unlimited iCloud storage when you switch to a new device
