Apple Admits Its Inability To Meet The iPhone 14 Pro And 14 Pro Max Demand

The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max demand has been quite impressive ever since the iPhone launch date back in September. Apple has been unable to meet the demand for these devices, which means that buyers still need to wait for several weeks before being able to hold any of the new iPhone 14 Pro’s in their hands. Delivery dates for both pro models range from 3-5 weeks depending on the desired version.

Apple, unexpectedly, issued a statement about this situation. In the press release, Apple states that the COVID-19 pandemic is still temporarily affecting production sites in China. Temporary lockdowns keep several factories closed which results in lower shipment levels than before. At the same time, the demand for the most expensive iPhone 14’s remains strong.

In other words, demand remains high but Apple can produce even less iPhones than before. This has resulted in a wide supply chain gap. Apple is “working closely with” their “supplier to return to normal production levels while ensuring the health and safety of every worker”.

This means that if you plan to get an iPhone during the upcoming holiday season, it would be wise to order your iPhone well in advance so that you can enjoy some time with it in your Christmas break.
