The headline feature of iOS 17.2 beta 2 is the introduction of Spatial Video, an impressive new capability now available on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Apple initially unveiled this feature during the iPhone 15 Pro keynote back in September 2023. To activate this feature, iPhone 15 Pro users can navigate to their Camera settings and toggle the switch for "Spatial Video for Apple Vision Pro." Notably, the new Spatial Video is limited at 1080p 30fps, and Apple estimates that a minute of such content consumes approximately 130 MB of storage.
For optimal functionality, the phone must be in a horizontal position. If the Spatial Video toggle is enabled and the iPhone is positioned vertically, the user will receive a prompt instructing them to reposition the device horizontally.
