Apple Pay Now Available in Guatemala & EL Salvador

Apple Pay is expanding in two additional countries within 2023 following the recent expansion in South Korea earlier this year.

Apple Pay has expanded its availability to Guatemala and El Salvador, with support from Banco Promerica and BAC Credomatic respectively. The news is now official according the websites of each banks.

With Apple Pay, users of iPhone and Apple Watch can make payments in physical stores by holding their devices near the credit and debit card reader. The feature is also available for online transactions for apps and websites, with support for iPad and Mac users.

Customers of Banco Promerica and BAC Credomatic can add both their VISA or Mastercard credit and debit cards to their Apple Pay accounts. Adding a new card is a straightforward process and can be initiated through the Wallet app on an iPhone, or the Settings app on an iPad. Apple Watch users can add a new card through the Watch app as well.

Should you face any issues when trying to add your credit or debit card in Apple Pay, make sure that both your device and your bank’s application are updated to the latest version.
