iPhone users have been asking for a dark theme for quite some time. This desire became more intense with the introduction of the iPhone X, which had an OLED display. Dark Theme on phones with OLED displays provide higher efficiency which is translated into better energy consumption and battery life on top of the cosmetic aspect.
