How to Use WhatsApp On Multiple Devices

WhatsApp has been one of the most popular messaging applications across iOS and Android users. The lack of multi-device support has always been one of the biggest drawbacks of the Facebook-owned application, especially since competitive application are already offering something similar. Currently, WhatsApp allows you to link your WhatsApp account with only a single smartphone.

This seems to be almost over. WhatsApp is introducing a new feature which allows you to use your WhatsApp account on multiple smartphone devices both on iOS and Android. Multi-device support is now available in beta and you can use your WhatsApp application to easily join the beta program directly through the app. Unfortunately, this feature is still not available for the iPad.

Here are the steps you need to follow in order to join the beta program:

  1. Update WhatsApp to the latest app version through App Store

  2. Open WhatsApp

  3. Go to Settings

  4. Tap on Linked Devices

  5. Tap OK on the pop-up message that prompts you to “Try new improvements - Join the multi device beta! Use WhatsApp on up to 4 additional devices at once without keeping your phone online.”

  6. That’s it! You have now joined the beta program for multi-device support

  7. You can now tap on "Link a Device” and follow the on-screen instructions in order to add your WhatsApp account on a secondary device.

This may still be a beta feature, however it seems that it will soon be available as a standard feature of WhatsApp.
