Apple Releases iOS 16.6 Beta 1 for Developers
Introduction
Apple is seeding the 1st beta version of iOS 16.6 for developers. iOS 16.5 was focusing more on stability and bug fixing rather than new features. The build number for this version is 20G5026e. Public beta testers are also expected to be eligible for update soon.
Apple also released the first beta versions of iPadOS 16.6 (build number: 20G5026e), tvOS 16.6 (build number: 20M5527e), macOS 13.5 (build number: 22G5027e) and watchOS 9.6 (build number: 20U5527c).
Update to iOS 16.6
The beta update process is now quite simple after iOS 16.4. Users are no longer required to download a beta configuration profile and install it on their device. You just simply go to Settings - General - Software Update and select Developer Beta if they want to update their device on the latest beta. Users can always select “Off” to opt-out of beta updating.
