Apple Battersea: A New Store in London's Historic Battersea Power Station (& Wallpapers)
The Store
Apple has opened its latest retail location, Apple Battersea, inside the renowned Battersea power station in London. Apple is expanding its retail footprint in the capital of England with its second store this year that follows a different design language.
Apple Battersea is designed with a focus on sustainability and accessibility. The store incorporates sustainable design elements and features varied table and seating heights, expanded assisted listening systems, and enhanced visual and acoustic clarity. The newly designed avenues, crafted with sustainably harvested wood, provide a visually pleasing and environmentally conscious atmosphere. The store's universal design principles create an inviting space for all visitors, with access routes that prioritize wheelchair users' ease of navigation. Apple Battersea is also operating on 100 percent renewable energy, showcasing Apple's dedication to sustainable practices.
Deirdre O'Brien, Apple's senior vice president of Retail, expressed her excitement about the new store, stating, "Our stores are a place where the community can come together to discover all of Apple's incredible products and services, and we're proud to be expanding to serve even more customers with the opening of Apple Battersea."
The Wallpapers
Furthermore, Apple also released a beautiful wallpaper in two versions. One version for the iPad and the Mac, and another second version for the iPhone; both featuring the Apple logo.
