You can easily check the current firmware version of your AirPods / AirPods Pro by following the below steps on iOS 16/17 or iPadOS 16/17:
Connect your AirPods to your iPhone or iPad
Go to “Settings”
Find and select your AirPods (for example, "9TechEleven’s AirPods Pro").
Scroll down to “Version” and check your current Firmware version.
