Apple Announced the New M3 iMac
Apple has finally announced the release of the new 24-inch iMac with an upgraded chip since its launch back in 2021. This time the iMac is featuring the new M3 chip, up from the original M1 chip. The M3 iMac is practically a refreshed model with updated internals and the same chassis as before. Here's everything you need to know about the 24-inch iMac:

M3 Chip: The new 24-inch iMac is powered by the base M3 chip, offering up to 2x the speed of its predecessor, making it perfect for multitasking, creative tasks, and gaming. Once more, Apple makes available only the base M3 chip for the iMac. Neither the M3 Pro or the M3 Max are available for its only all-in-one computer.
Design: Available again in a spectrum of seven colors, the 24-inch iMac combines style and substance, with the usual slim form factor. No design change has taken place this time.
Performance: When upgrading from an Intel-based iMac, you can expect up to 2.5x faster performance, surpassing even the most popular 27-inch models and outpacing the 21.5-inch model by a significant margin according to Apple.
Display: The iMac boasts the same 4.5K Retina display with over a billion colors and 11.3 million pixels that we saw on the 2021 iMac.
Connectivity: Apple is upgrading the Bluetooth to Bluetooth 5.3 (up from 5.0 on the M1 iMac) and maintains Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax).
Memory & Storage: The maximum storage option is still limited at 1TB for the 2-port model and 2TB’s for the 4-port model. The Maximum RAM has been increased at 24GB’s up from the 16GB’s of the M1 models.
Camera, Speakers, and Mics remain the same as the M1 iMac models.
Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse: Apple has surprisingly maintained the same accessories without USB-C ports as the familiar Lightning port is still present in the new iMac accessories.
Pricing and Availability: You can start ordering the new iMac today, with availability beginning on November 7. Pricing starts at $1,299 for the base model with an 8-core GPU. If you choose the model with a 10-core GPU, it starts at $1,499 or $1,399 for educational customers.
