New AirPods Pro & AirPods 3 Firmware Released
AirPods Pro & AirPods 3 New Firmware
Apple has once again quietly released a new firmware for the AirPods Pro. The new firmware version is the 4A402, replacing the former 4A400 firmware. While it was believed that Apple released the new firmware version for the AirPods Pro only, we noticed a new update on the regular AirPods 3 as well. The new AirPods 3 4B66 firmware version, replaces the older 4B61 firmware version.
AirPods Max & AirPods Gen 2
Apple unfortunately did not proceed with any other update for the rest of the AirPods lineup, including the AirPods Max and the AirPods Gen 2 (or the original AirPods). Could this mean that the update is related with the Spatial Audio feature of the newest TWE’s by Apple?
Apple, does not disclose any information on any AirPods firmware updates. Hence, we can’t be sure if Apple is aiming at fixing any bugs or achieve any optimisations and improvements. We haven’t noticed any new features though.
