iPhone 13 Boxes: New Ecological Packaging
iPhone 13 series marks another step towards a more environmental friendly future from Apple. Apple is stating that the new iPhone 13 series is using more recycled rare earth materials than any previous generation of iPhones. These materials include wires, magnets, gold, tin and solder.
Apart from the design of the devices, Apple is also making changes to the packaging of the new iPhones which is another step towards minimizing the environmental footprint of its devices. More specifically, the new packaging is using no outer plastic wrap which according to Apple will save 600 metric tons of plastic. Apple has stated thither outer goal is to completely remove plastic from all packaging by 2025.
The first photos and videos of the new iPhone packaging have appeared online and resemble the packaging of other Apple devices and peripherals that were already released without a plastic wrap.
The iPhone unboxing experience will never be the same again, however this is for a very good cause and we should be encouraging more companies act accordingly or even better than Apple.
