What's New On iOS 15.1 Developer Beta 2 [Just Released]
Apple has just released the second beta of iOS 15.1 which brings back one of the most significant features of Apple’s latest version of iOS, SharePlay.
SharePlay had been highlighted several times during WWDC ‘21, however Apple decided that it needed further refinements and cut it off after the first iOS 15.0 betas back in summer. SharePlay on FaceTime calls allows you to share your iPhone screen with the other FaceTime participants.
In addition, SharePlay enables users to invite their friends and watch together a movie from Apple TV+ and other streaming services apps, listen to their favourite music on Apple Music or other music apps across their iPhones, Macs and iPads.
Apple has fixed the Unlock With Apple Watch bug that prevented some iPhone 13 users to unlock their iPhones with their Apple Watch, while their iPhone 13s where running iOS 15.0. This bug has been resolved but it also requires your Apple Watch to run watchOS 8.1 (currently on beta as well).
iOS 15.1 brings additional changes to the Wallet App as well as it now allows users to add their Covid-19 vaccination cards on their iPhone Wallet.
Apple has also released the second Developer Betas for iPadOS 15.1, watchOS 8.1 and tvOS 15.1.
